Metroid, Kirby, and More: Everything I Loved From Today’s Nintendo Presentation

The September Nintendo Direct Just Dropped: Here Are My Favorite Announcements

A 45-minute presentation of reveals for games coming to Nintendo consoles in the next year or so. Most of the games were first-party, but there were some third-party titles revealed too, including the very heavy-hitting  Monster Hunter Wilds . For the Nintendo first-party titles, the biggest reveal for me was Metroid Ravenous, a brand-new 2D action-adventure game that looks absolutely stunning. It’s fast-paced platforming, and I’m absolutely thrilled to see Samus in a classic side-scroller once again. The other game that got me pretty excited was Kirby and the World Beyond, which is a brand new adventure for the pink puffball. It’s a 3D adventure, and the environments and graphics look absolutely stunning. The third-party reveals were great too, and it’s clear Nintendo is taking third-party support very seriously. There was also an announcement of a surprise update for Mario Kart World, which will see the return of classic retro tracks from past Mario Kart games. For fans of action games and Nintendo games, this presentation had something for everyone. The whole presentation can be found on the official  Nintendo YouTube Channel  You can watch it all from the start if you missed it live.
